Jonas Vingegaard withdraws from the Tour de France. The Dane, second in the general classification and already a two-time winner of the Grande Boucle, was the victim of a serious crash during the 15th stage due to his front wheel slipping before the climb of the Plateau De Solaison Brison, the last of the day. Visibly in pain in his shoulder, he was attended to by doctors and did not resume the race. For the first time in five years, the Tour will not end with him and Slovenian Tadej Pogacar in the top two positions of the general classification.
