Nalasopara: A 37-year-old man died of electrocution while trying to retrieve a T-shirt that had fallen onto the balcony of a building opposite his apartment in Vijay Nagar, Nalasopara East, on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased, Nilesh Pawar, lived on the third floor of Alishan Apartment. A T-shirt he had put out to dry on his balcony fell onto the balcony of the third floor of the opposite building. Pawar tried to retrieve it using an iron rod, which came into contact with an MSEDCL power line, resulting in his death.
Tulinj police have registered an accidental death case.
