Tragedy yesterday afternoon at Lake Viverone, in the Biella area, where a 32-year-old man drowned. At around 6 p.m. he reportedly slipped from a pedalo that he had rented along with some acquaintances for an excursion. The man who fell into the water never resurfaced, and firefighters arrived on the scene with jet skis and the Drago helicopter. Once located, he was brought ashore, but too much time had already passed. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. Investigations are ongoing by the Carabinieri.
