MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. The new heavy truck market is expected at the level of 50,000 units as of the end of 2027, department director of Russian truck maker Kamaz Alexander Migal said at the CarX 26 forum.
"Our common vision of the next year is that we will see more or less the same volume within 50,000 vehicles," he said.
Macroeconomic factors continue influencing the market, including budgeting and the overall condition of the economy. The wear and tear in the heavy haulers segment is much higher than in the car market and the requirement for their renewal is more expressed. However, the desire of the business to change their vehicle fleets is not observed, the Kamaz spokesman said.
"So it follows the market will not move anywhere, we do not see growth thus far," he added.
According to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, 4,100 trucks were sold in September 2026, down 5.4% in annual terms.
