Patricia Bullrich renewed her attack over the funds cut from the Disability sector included in the 2027 Budget. The day before, Diego Santilli had said she was unaware of it because the senator had left before the political leadership meeting. "That is a lie — when the Budget was discussed, I was there," the former minister fired back, once again exposing the wounds of the internal Libertarian conflict.
The current president of La Libertad Avanza's Senate bloc complained last week that she had not been warned about the cuts before the bill was sent to Congress. Instead, she said, she found out through complaints from lawmakers in the early hours of Thursday morning. After Bullrich openly criticized the snub, the Chief of Cabinet assured her she had not been informed because she had left before the meeting at which the Budget was debated.
"That is a lie — when the Budget was discussed, I was there. And (Martín) Menem didn't know anything either, and he stayed three minutes longer than I did," she stated in remarks made this Sunday on LN+.
Far from trying to smooth things over, the senator continued: "The idea that they discussed it afterward is simply not true. I am going to take this up with Santilli, because you cannot say something that isn't true. We have to be honest with ourselves."
