'I am not saying the mayor should apologize, but he should take note and make an assessment, given that police officers were attacked and street furniture was damaged,' he added.
According to Piantedosi, 'when a person dies in the hands of the State, it is always something deeply saddening, but the idea that this should translate into an act of no confidence, with a demonstration called to demand truth and justice, I believe is wrong.'

The videos show that the police officers approached the situation with the care that is required in these cases.'
