MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed practical steps to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries with his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf.
"The foreign ministers discussed practical steps to further strengthen the enhanced strategic partnership between Russia and Algeria, including the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement following their talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
In addition, following an exchange of views on current regional issues, the foreign ministers reaffirmed their mutual interest in continuing effective coordination to resolve ongoing conflicts through political and diplomatic means, based on universally recognized principles of international law and the UN Charter.
