Enrico Borello, one of the most appreciated actors of his generation, seen in Familia, Supersex, 40 secondi, and protagonist of Gabriele Mainetti's La Città proibita, has won the Ecomov prize at the Tavolara festival. "For his performance in 40 secondi by Vincenzo Alfieri. For the talent, sensitivity and authenticity with which he is building his artistic path, establishing himself as one of the most promising revelations of new Italian cinema," reads the motivation of the festival organised by the Argonauti association. Borello (who according to rumours is dating Matilda De Angelis, "I avail myself of the right not to answer," he commented to ANSA), is about to return to set, once again with Alfieri, in a new crime series for Netflix that "starts from a sensational theft of safety deposit boxes in Rome, the so-called 'Heist of the Century' at the vault of the Rome Courthouse in Piazzale Clodio in July 1999. An operation," Borello recounts, "behind which was Massimo Carminati, a prominent figure in Roman organised crime, a former NAR militant, involved in the Mafia Capitale investigation. The contents of the safety deposit boxes, opened in a targeted manner, were never known or recovered; they belonged to magistrates, lawyers and state officials. Secrets never revealed." His presence at the Tavolara Festival "was able to fully embody its spirit, participating with generosity, curiosity and a sincere desire for encounter and sharing, values that make cinema a cultural and human experience," underlines Marco Navone, president of the association.
