ST. PETERSBURG, October 21. /TASS/. The damaged lines of the Nord Stream gas pipeline system can technically be repaired, and supplies through the intact pipeline could resume shortly, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.
"One of the four lines is in working order. If European consumers - or European countries and politicians - wish, gas could certainly be supplied via this line. It depends on the Europeans, primarily Germany, since the pipeline leads to Germany. As for the other three lines, as previously stated, they can technically be repaired, should there be a need, justification, or necessity," he said.
Novak noted that launching supplies through the sole surviving Nord Stream line would unlikely take much time from a technical standpoint.
