"We must not be presumptuous, we must not think we have suddenly become good." So said Gennaro Gattuso, Lazio's manager, at the press conference ahead of the clash against Venezia. When asked whether there has been any fallout from off-field matters - with the investigation into an alleged plot against Lotito - Gattuso replied that "I want to avoid talking about things that don't concern us. We have to prepare for matches by training, and as long as the salary comes in, we have to focus on doing our job."
"Tomorrow will be a tough match against a team that deserved to pick up some points, and we need to make amends for the second half we put in against Milan," added the Lazio manager. "If we are presumptuous it will be very difficult - the reason we have got to where we are is because we have had that edge, playing as a team and keeping our heads down."
