Singer-songwriter Levante will be a guest at the twenty-ninth edition of the Concertone della Notte della Taranta, scheduled for Saturday, August 22, under the musical direction of maestro Ermal Meta and with choreography by Fredy Franzutti. On the Melpignano stage, she will perform a track from her new album 'Dell'amore il fallimento e altri passi di danza' and the folk repertoire classic 'Beddha ci dormi'.
"Being a guest at the Notte della Taranta," says Levante, "is a great honour for me, because I share that Southern fire that I carry within me and hold sacred, and that I am happy to bring to the Melpignano stage." "Entering the Salentine tradition is a discovery," the Sicilian singer continues, "and I am curious to find a connection between the dance steps in my new record and those of the pizzica. My new work, which is encapsulated in the album Dell'amore il fallimento e altri passi di danza, truly embraces many dance steps: those of real life, of everyday life, but above all those of love that does not happen or that, in some way, ends, fails. I find there is a certain closeness even with my latest single Malìa: there is that type of dance that brings me back here to Salento."
With the announcement of Levante, the guest lineup for the 2026 Concertone, who will perform alongside the Orchestra Popolare La Notte della Taranta, continues to grow. Already announced are Gisela João, Alessandra Amoroso, Maria Mazzotta and Salentine artist Welo.
