ISTANBUL, October 8. /TASS/. A six-story building partially collapsed in Istanbul, trapping people under the rubble, the TRT TV channel reported.

According to its information, the incident occurred Thursday morning in Istanbul Province's Maltepe district. For unknown reasons, two floors collapsed. Rescue teams and ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. No information on casualties or injuries has been reported yet, TRT pointed out.

The TV channel specified that the collapse occurred on the first two floors of the building, which house commercial stores. The stores were closed around 7 a.m. local time, and rescue workers are evacuating residents. According to TRT, a child was pulled alive from under the rubble and hospitalized.
