Solemn ceremonies at ground zero in New York, and across the United States, are mourning the thousands of lives lost. President Trump paid tribute to the victims in a speech at the Pentagon.

In recent weeks, Mayor Zohran Mamdani has visited firehouses around New York City as part of an effort to direct the public’s attention toward the victims, and away from himself.


Relatives of victims said past administrations had not held the kingdom accountable, and called for action from President Trump.
