Tokyo loses more than 4%. Europe and Wall Street expected to decline
Asia-Pacific stock markets in free fall over new fears about artificial intelligence investments, which have triggered another wave of selling among the world's chip manufacturers. This comes ahead of big tech earnings results.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei is down 4.4%. Seoul plunges to -10.3%. The index was also suspended during the session. In Taiwan, the Taiex loses 4.65% and Shenzhen 3%. European stock markets are expected to decline, as are Wall Street futures.
