MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Countries in the East, West, North, and South will sooner or later have to agree on the principles for shaping a new world order, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the 23rd meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
The head of state noted that, "by a good tradition," the club’s participants are discussing the most pressing global problems.
"We have always tried not only to diagnose the state of the world but also to outline the contours of the emerging world order. I am convinced that the intellectual legacy and the experience of direct and trust-based communication accumulated by the club will certainly be in demand when all of us – East and West, North and South – sooner or later have to agree on the principles for shaping a new world order capable of ensuring the progress and development of humanity in the coming decades," the president said.
