STOCKHOLM, October 20. /TASS/. A Norwegian court has granted a 57 billion Norwegian kroner ($6.27 billion) claim of Ukrainian state-owned company Naftogaz by ruling to confiscate five Russia’s real estate properties, the Verdens Gang (VG) newspaper reported.

The property includes an apartment building in the Frogner district in the west of the capital seized, based on 40 billion Norwegian kroner ($3.64 billion) claims. The remaining properties are four housing and construction cooperatives.

Initially, Naftogaz’s claim amounted to 40 billion Norwegian kroner; the remaining 17 billion was accrued as interest and legal costs.

The kingdom has already attempted to seize Russian property in following Naftogaz’s claims. On September 2, Norway detained the Professor Molchanov vessel in the port of Barentsburg to ensure the enforcement of a $4.22 billion arbitration award. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Professor Molchanov’s seizure was appealed in court; the substantive consideration of the case is expected in October-November.
