Mumbai: Kasturba Marg police recovered 100 stolen or lost mobile phones worth Rs 22.7 lakh through a technical investigation using the CEIR portal. Police analysed mobile specifications, IMEI numbers and user information after receiving complaints from within the police station’s jurisdiction. Inquiries were conducted across Mumbai, other parts of
Maharashtra and other states. Eighteen complainants have received their phones, while the process of returning the remaining devices to their owners is under way.
