Regarding the timeline for the Roma Stadium project at Pietralata, "by the end of August the decisive Services Conference can be concluded. Between the end of August and September, depending on certain technical factors, the final authorization will be granted. All the preliminary work has already been done: the famous Roman cistern will be turned into a museum space and will be visible when visiting the stadium, the trees will be planted in a specific way, the acoustics will be designed so as not to disturb the Pertini hospital, and the same goes for mobility. These are all matters that have already been examined and thoroughly discussed with municipal and regional offices, and we are only at the final touches and details. The requirements have already been outlined in advance, and all the dossiers have been fully prepared." This was stated by Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri in an interview on Radio Sport.

"A tender must then be held, even if it's somewhat amusing," Gualtieri added, "for the construction, management and surface rights. It will take place, although it is reasonable to assume there won't be many competitors, since winning it will require having made a very large investment in a very short period of time. In parallel, the club will prepare the executive project, running to thousands of pages, and in 2027 actual construction will begin, which will take three years, although Roma says they could finish even sooner, also because the sooner they finish, the sooner the facility can generate an economic return. Between 2030 and 2031 the stadium will be completed, which is important both for the club and because it has been included among the 5+5 stadiums for the European Championships."
