MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky is actively interfering in US domestic affairs by participating in planned and financially backed propaganda campaigns, Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said.
The diplomat pointed to the fact that Zelensky had given more than ten in-depth interviews to American and some other Western media outlets over the past thirteen days.
"Given that the overwhelming majority of the interviews were extremely complimentary and did not include any questions about corruption or forced mobilization, it is hard to believe that this was a completely ‘disinterested’ interest on the part of major Western media outlets in the Ukrainian dictator who has clung to power. It looks like a well-calibrated, planned, and financially backed propaganda campaign, in which Zelensky, leveraging his international fame, is actively interfering in US domestic affairs," Miroshnik wrote in a post on his Telegram channel.
"It seems very likely that the upcoming US midterm elections are driving Zelensky’s media activity more than that of [US President] Donald Trump himself," the diplomat concluded.
