Shunned in the West, Ye hands Indonesia a rare mega-tour coup

The controversial US rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, is expected to attract 15,000 foreign fans to Jakarta this month

Next weekend, however, Jakarta is finally getting the big international headline act it has been craving – in the form of Ye.

The promoter, Raw Vision Collective, expects 15,000 international visitors to attend. In the first 24 hours of ticket sales going live, foreign buyers from 73 countries made up 52.8 per cent of purchases, according to marketing and communications lead Karen Tjahja.
