MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. North Group units have taken control of Lukashovo and Lobanovka within an encirclement in the Kharkov Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"North Group units in the Kharkov Region are tightening the encirclement and expanding the outer control zone. During active combat operations, the settlements of Lukashovo and Lobanovka in the Kharkov Region were taken under control within the encirclement," the ministry said.

Fighting is underway to liberate the settlements of Nikolayevka, Varvarovka, Reznikovo, Nefedovka and Chernoye within the encirclement. Fighting also continues to take control of Prikolotnoye and Kotovka as the outer control zone expands.

According to the Russian defense ministry, Battlegroup Center also liberated 82 buildings, including four industrial facilities, in Dobropolye and eliminated more than 35 Ukrainian servicemen and two armored combat vehicles over the past day.

Assault groups of the 51st Army advanced in the central and northwestern parts of the city, while marine units operated in the western part and continued eliminating enemy forces on the grounds of the Dobropolye coal mine. "Two attempts to relieve the encircled enemy units were thwarted," the ministry added.

In addition, Russian air defense systems shot down two US-made HIMARS rockets and 725 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones over the past day.

Ukrainian forces lost about 1,455 troops across the special military operation zone: up to 270 in the Battlegroup North’s area, up to 220 in Battlegroup West’s area, over 150 in Battlegroup South’s area, up to 525 in Battlegroup Center’s area, up to 275 in Battlegroup East’s area, and over 15 in Battlegroup Dnepr’s area.

Separately, Ukrainian units trapped in an encirclement in the Kharkov Region lost up to 45 servicemen and three unmanned ground vehicles over the past day.

Since the start of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 258,265 UAVs, 672 air defense systems, 31,183 tanks, 1,786 MLRS vehicles, 36,686 artillery pieces, and 74,141 special military vehicles have been destroyed.
