"I was shooting randomly, I have nothing against women." This is essentially what Edoardo Ciardiello Crescimanno reportedly said after being reported to police for bodily harm, accused of having wounded journalist and author Cristina Stillitano from Rome in the arm with a pellet fired from an air gun on Via della Giuliana, near the Vatican. There is currently also a second complaint from another woman injured on the same street. Yesterday evening, the carabinieri searched the fifty-year-old's home and seized the rifle he allegedly used to shoot, an optical sight for aiming, and two air pistols.
