A tourist fell on the "delle Anguane" via ferrata in San Pietro Valdastico (Vicenza) and died. The victim is a 41-year-old German tourist.
The Alpine Rescue team from Arsiero (Vicenza) intervened after receiving calls from several witnesses who had witnessed the accident. While following the equipped route with two other people, the hiker, according to reconstructions, fell plummeting more than one hundred metres and ending up in the woodland below.
Rescuers climbed to the start of the via ferrata and found objects belonging to the man, and then the body. The Padova emergenza helicopter was on site and lowered a doctor who confirmed the hiker's death.
