One person died on Tuesday (28) during the Macuco Safari boat tour inside Iguaçu National Park, home of Iguaçu Falls, in western Paraná.
The Macuco Safari is the traditional boat tour through the rapids of the Iguaçu River. Reports indicate that the boat capsized during the tour.
The tour has been operated since 2010 by the company Ilha do Sol. Reporters are still attempting to contact the company.
ICMBio (the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation) confirmed the death of one person, but has not yet provided further details.
