Released on August 28 via Artist First,

'Genova e Napoli' is the track with which Alfa and Gigi D'Alessio

celebrate the union between two cities and two identities that, despite

being separated by hundreds of kilometres, speak the same language of

passion, belonging and shared roots. Football also plays an important role in writing this story: for over

thirty years, the fan bases of Genoa and Napoli have been united by

one of the longest-standing partnerships in Italian football, born in

the Eighties and spanning generations of supporters.

The first matchday of the season on 22 August in Genoa provided

the ideal stage for 'Genova e Napoli' to be heard live for the first time. With 'Genova e Napoli', Alfa

and Gigi D'Alessio transform the bond between two cities into music.

"Genova and Napoli - says Alfa - have always spoken to each other. They are two seaside cities, two ports where people, stories and songs have always arrived and departed. Neapolitan song is one of the roots of Italian music. And it is no coincidence that, even before the Sanremo Festival as we know it today was born, Sanremo itself celebrated the great tradition of Neapolitan song. Then came the school of Genoese singer-songwriters. De André chose to write Don Raffae' in Neapolitan, Gino Paoli dedicated an album to Neapolitan song. That dialogue, when all is said and done, never truly stopped. We simply tried to add a page to this story."

As Gigi D'Alessio explains, "'Genova e Napoli' is a love song: it tells of two cities that, though far apart,

share the same soul, the same passion and the same way of experiencing feelings. Genova and Napoli are alike in just this way: they sing, dream, love and support their teams with the same intensity."

On 23 September, Alfa will hold his first concert at the Arena di

Verona, followed by appearances at the Palateknoship in Genoa on 16 and 17 October, and at the Unipol Forum in Milan on 24 October, already sold out.

Gigi D'Alessio is meanwhile preparing to launch 'Gigi

Palasport', which will bring the artist back to Italy's major indoor arenas this autumn, ahead of his long-awaited double return to the Stadio Maradona in Naples on 5 and 6 June 2027.
