BELGOROD, September 18. /TASS/. Since early September, unmanned systems crews of the Russian Battlegroup North’s 11th Army Corps have destroyed over 150 Ukrainian rotor drones in the Kharkov Region, the head of the Planning and Counter-UAV Operations Department of the 11th Army Corps, with the call sign Karta, told TASS.

He said Ukrainian units had attempted to attack Russian Armed Forces’ positions with drones.

"Interceptor drone operators of the Battlegroup North’s 11th Army Corps have destroyed more than 150 rotor drones of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kharkov sector since the beginning of September. The sky is constantly monitored by aerial observation posts, and interceptor drone operators promptly receive information about the detection of enemy ‘birds’ over our positions. We promptly destroy them before they can carry out a strike," he said.

Karta added that the destruction of reconnaissance and strike drones reduces the Ukrainian armed forces’ reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment capabilities. This helps curb the Ukrainian units’ aerial activity and creates more favorable conditions for the operations of the Russian assault units.

Units of the Battlegroup North, while carrying out combat missions as part of the special military operation in the Kharkov Region, continue to tighten the encirclement and eliminate the trapped enemy formations.
