Russia has no intention to use nuclear weapons — Kremlin spokesman

MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russia has no plans to use nuclear weapons, and Europeans should rein in their emotions, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response to a question from foreign media.

"No," he replied when asked if Russia was considering the use of nuclear weapons. "It is the Europeans who are thinking about Russia using nuclear weapons," Peskov said, emphasizing that hysteria is being whipped up in Europe in this way.

"We urge them to rein in their emotions and look at things objectively," Peskov added.
