A man was arrested in Appiano, in South Tyrol, for stalking his former partner, whom he was spying on from above using a drone. The operation was carried out by the Carabinieri of Bolzano in close collaboration with the local Police of Appiano. The intervention was triggered when the man positioned himself in the countryside surrounding the victim's home to monitor her movements. Having previously been the recipient of a warning from the Police Chief for prior harassing conduct towards the woman, the stalker was caught in the act following a formal complaint filed by the victim. The Carabinieri proceeded to seize all the electronic equipment used for the illegal activity, including a latest-generation drone, two smartphones and a tablet.
