"Recognizing in music, and particularly in live music, the role of ambassador for our country in the world is a great source of pride for our Association, which has been fighting for the promotion of contemporary popular music since its founding three years ago. We are firmly convinced that live music is one of the most powerful tools of cultural promotion. With 'Italia 2027,' a truly historic step is being taken: for the first time, institutions and the music industry are joining forces to export Italian talent and strengthen our country's appeal." This was stated by Bruno Sconocchia, president of AssoConcerti, during the presentation of Italia 2027, the first major international initiative for the promotion of music in Europe.
"AssoConcerti is proud to contribute to this project, which looks to the future of Italian music in Europe. I can only thank all the parties involved in this magnificent initiative: Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana as the lead company; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the driving force of the project alongside the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism. And the music world represented by Siae (Società Italiana Autori Editori), Fimi (Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana) and ourselves at Assoconcerti (Associazione Italiana Musica dal Vivo)," he emphasized.
With Italia 2027, the aim is to conquer Europe by bringing music to four European capitals. The tour will kick off just a few days after the final of the 2027 Sanremo Festival, scheduled for Saturday, February 20. The artists will set off on February 22 for a series of concerts in major European capitals: February 23 at the Accor Arena in Paris, February 26 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, March 1 at the Olympiahalle in Munich, and March 3 at the OVO Wembley Arena in London. The initiative aims to become the largest show dedicated to Italian music ever organized abroad, while simultaneously promoting Italian tourism through musical culture.
Also taking part in the presentation were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, Rai Prime Time Entertainment Director Williams Di Liberatore, Fimi CEO Enzo Mazza, representatives of Siae and AssoConcerti, and numerous prominent figures from the music industry.
