MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, October 2. /TASS/. Secondary sanctions and punitive Western tariffs against countries deemed objectionable for various reasons were not discussed at the Group of Twenty (G20) meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov told reporters on Thursday following the meeting.

"The focus here was on issues on the international agenda. We stuck to the agenda that had been outlined, which I spoke about earlier," the minister said when asked whether secondary sanctions and import tariffs targeting trade that the West objects to for political reasons had been discussed in Milwaukee.

The ministerial-level meeting in Wisconsin, attended by Reshetnikov, focused on international economic development and trade. It was held from September 30 to October 1. The United States holds the G20 presidency this year. The G20 events in the US will culminate in a summit scheduled for December 14-15 near Miami, Florida.
