A five-year-old child fell from the balcony of his home in a building in Montelanico, in the province of Rome. He was assisted by some passers-by after falling approximately ten metres and was transported by air ambulance to the Gemelli polyclinic. The child, who will turn 6 in a few days, is hospitalised in extremely critical condition. Carabinieri from the Colleferro company were on the scene. According to the reconstruction of events, the child was home alone on Wednesday afternoon. His father, a Colombian national, had gone out with his other daughter to run errands. The man has been reported for child abandonment and personal injury.
A two-year-old child who fell from a second-floor balcony of a home in Grezzana (Verona) is in guarded prognosis. The young child, of foreign origin, has a very extensive cranial trauma and is therefore hospitalised in the neurosurgical intensive care unit of the hospital in Trento. His condition remains critical at this time.
