Asian stock markets close higher as investors focus on the resilience of artificial intelligence investments and data center development. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remain in the spotlight, driving up oil and gas prices.
Tokyo closed positive (+0.46%). On the currency market, the yen remains near its lowest level since 1986 against the dollar, just above 163, and at 186.30 against the euro. With trading still underway, Hong Kong (+1.3%), Shanghai (+0.1%) and Shenzhen (+0.6%) are rising, while Mumbai is down 0.1%. Seoul soars (+4.4%).
On the macroeconomic front, confidence indicators are due from France. The eurozone consumer confidence reading is also awaited. From the United States, jobless claims and the Kansas City Fed manufacturing index are expected.
