TEHRAN, October 26. /TASS/. Iran is indifferent to who will take office in Israel following tomorrow’s election, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.
"It will make no difference to us who leads a regime that has achieved nothing but murders and genocide," the Iranian diplomat said at a news briefing.
Baghaei also described the upcoming election in the Jewish state as a competition between gangs over who can commit more atrocities. Israeli politicians largely run their campaigns on the message, "I can commit more crimes than you," he said.
Elections to Israel’s Knesset, or parliament, will be held on October 27. The leader of the winning party will be tasked with putting together a new government.
As of today, according to the latest polls, the bloc of the current ruling coalition led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party and the united opposition are running neck and neck. However, neither side can secure the majority of 61 out of 120 seats in the Knesset required to form a ruling coalition.
