Four absolute newcomers among the Under-21 call-ups: they are Matteo Cichella, Mattia Liberali, Emanuele Lulli and Luca Reggiani. Two matches and the young Azzurri will know whether they have secured their pass for the 2027 European Championship. The final sprint begins against Albania and Serbia, in the 26th edition of the continental youth tournament, and coach Silvio Baldini has called up 25 players for the training camp in Tirrenia, which begins on Monday, September 21: on the 30th they depart for Yerevan, where the following day the match against Armenia — still on zero points — is scheduled, while on the 5th the Adriatico stadium in Pescara will host the final qualifying group match, the decisive head-to-head clash with Poland. The group winner qualifies directly for the European Championship, as does the best runner-up from the nine groups. Before the qualifying matches, the young Azzurri will play two friendly games.
