LUGANSK, October 3. /TASS/. Losses sustained by the Ukrainian armed forces in September, including foreign mercenaries and encompassing both killed and wounded, totaled nearly 48,000 personnel, according to military expert Andrey Marochko.

"The enemy's personnel losses - both recoverable and irrecoverable - during the reporting period amounted to approximately 47,885 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, an increase of 9,240 compared with August. As for the areas where the heaviest losses were inflicted on Ukrainian armed formations, the highest number of casualties in September was recorded in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)," he said during a live broadcast on his VKontakte social media page, citing an analysis of Russian Defense Ministry data.

Marochko added that Russian forces also destroyed 24,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 30 unmanned surface vessels, 70 marine vessels, seven multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) combat vehicles, 257 field artillery pieces, 310 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 154 electronic warfare and counter-battery radar systems, and more than 2,500 other Ukrainian military vehicles in September.
