Monica Esposito, a 55-year-old woman who had been hospitalised in intensive care after being struck in the centre of Modena two months ago, on 16 May, by the car driven into the crowd by Salim El Koudri, which injured eight people, did not make it. The patient, initially admitted in critical condition to the Maggiore hospital of the Bologna Local Health Authority, had in recent weeks been transferred to the Baggiovara Civil Hospital of the Modena University Hospital Authority, where she passed away in the morning.
