UNITED NATIONS, September 26. /TASS/. Moscow strongly calls for lifting the naval blockade of Cuba, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during the General Debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
"Cuba faces unprecedented pressure from its northern neighbor and needs urgent measures to improve the dire humanitarian situation," he said. "We reaffirm our solidarity with the Cuban people and government and strongly call for lifting the naval blockade of the Island of Freedom (Cuba - TASS).".
