DUSHANBE, October 20. /TASS/. The present situation in the world’s energy markets is complicated, which directly affects the pace of global economic development, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"Today’s situation in international energy markets is complicated. This directly affects the pace of global economic development," he said at a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government.
According to estimates by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), GDP growth could slow to 3% this year, Mishustin noted. "It is important to maintain supply channels for energy commodities that have been established, and ensure stable transportation between producers and consumers of resources, as well as optimal synchronization of the operation of energy systems," he added.
