8.2% of Italian women and 3.4% of foreign women declare they experienced sexual violence before the age of 16, a figure that has decreased compared to 2014. Women aged 16 to 70 who suffered sexual violence before the age of 16 total 7.8% in 2025, compared to 10.6% in 2014. This emerges from the Istat report "Violence against women from childhood to adulthood - Year 2025". Four types of violence are considered by the survey: being forced to pose nude; being touched in intimate parts against one's will; being forced to touch another person's intimate parts; being forced to have sexual intercourse.
