Immediately after the end of the first half, the pitch was covered with a rainbow-coloured tarpaulin and an enormous coloured ball at the centre, serving as a stage for Madonna, Shakira and Justin Bieber. After making her way through the stadium corridors in a car bearing the number plate 'maestro' driven by Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, Madonna — dressed all in pink and wearing dark glasses — walks onto the pitch on foot. Justin Bieber plays guitar and sings. Shakira, in a yellow and pink costume, enchants the crowd. Pelé appears on the screens asking everyone to repeat 'Love'. The stage was then dismantled, and the teams returned to the pitch.
