MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. At present, there are no grounds for resuming the Russia-US dialogue on strategic stability, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has told the media.
"We do not see any grounds for resuming such a dialogue," he stated in response to a question on the matter.
Ryabkov clarified that, at the current stage, interactions regarding arms control are confined to "occasional meetings between senior officials on the sidelines of multilateral international events."
"It is possible that as the agenda for France’s current coordination of the 'nuclear P5' group becomes more defined, further contacts may occur - though, again, these would take place on the sidelines of international meetings," he suggested. "There is no bilateral dialogue with the United States. That said, we certainly take note of public signals from American representatives - including those at the highest level - regarding these issues."
