MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. Russia will continue to supply grain to Africa both on a commercial basis and free of charge, President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference following the Russia-Africa Summit.

"Russia will continue to act as a responsible supplier of grain to Africa; as before, we will continue to do that both on a commercial basis and free of charge," he said.

Putin pointed out that discussions at the summit had confirmed that many African leaders viewed agriculture as the key area for cooperation with Russia. "They expect our country to continue to make a feasible contribution to strengthening food security on the African continent and supplying consumer markets with essential food products. We are certainly ready and open to that," the Russian president added.
