Tanzi, a family-owned company from Santa Fe that is a benchmark in seeding technology, brought its most significant new release to the premier agricultural event in the city — the 138th Rural Exhibition: the impressive Special 4 Air Drill GEN 3, a seeder the company presents as a true example of innovation within the Argentine market for its level of technology applied to input savings and seeding efficiency.

The brand, which manufactures in Arequito and already has 60 years of history, is present at Palermo with the best of its portfolio and a clear message: new developments in agricultural machinery are no longer just about seeding more hectares, but about doing so with greater precision and less waste.

With that purpose, the Special 4 Air Drill GEN 3 is positioned as a piece of equipment designed to meet an increasingly specific demand from producers: incorporating more technology, reducing operational errors, and improving the utilization of seeds and fertilizers — two decisive inputs in the cost of each season.

Tanzi's star attraction at La Rural is a seeder that combines work capacity, automation, and precision at a very competitive price. "This is a machine with an 8,000-liter hopper capacity. In other words, we have increased the hopper capacity by more than 50%," explains Fabián Guida, Tanzi's Sales Manager.

One of the major technological innovations of the equipment is the new TANZI NEXUS seeding controller, developed with ISOBUS technology. The TANZI NEXUS interacts with all of the seeder's systems and functions as a kind of command center for the Special 4 Air Drill GEN 3. From there, key tools can be managed, such as automatic section control, flow monitoring, input weighing and self-calibration, as well as the downforce applied to the row openers.

Another important addition is TANZI SmartCal, the new input weighing and self-calibration system. Its aim is to make working with seeds and fertilizers more precise — two central variables for the profitability of each field. By automating part of the calibration process, the seeder helps reduce margins of error and achieve application more closely aligned with the target dose.

The Special 4 Air Drill GEN 3 also features the TANZI DynamicForce system, a downforce technology for the row openers. This is an electrohydraulic development that allows the operator to adjust and maintain the desired pressure from the ISOBUS terminal. This function is key to achieving more uniform seeding, especially in fields with varying soil conditions.

Added to this is the TANZI IntelliFlow dosing system, which allows the planter to operate in four independent sections for automatic sectional cutoff, thereby avoiding overlap. This patented technology works on the application of seeds and fertilizers to improve input use and reduce waste. Fabián Guida also illustrates what Tanzi's development objective is: "Just as tractors evolve to consume less fuel, planters must also evolve to save inputs."

For Tanzi, this point makes the Special 4 Air Drill GEN 3 a product with a clear advantage over other available options. "That is why we call it a novelty, and it is the only planter in the country—in its segment—that has it," Guida stated.

The Special 4 GEN 3 is a multipurpose Air Drill planter, designed for fine and coarse grains. The model allows single-grain dosers to be installed on both the rear and front bar, enabling multiple planting configurations and spacings. It was also designed to mount the vast majority of precision agriculture components from brands such as Precision Planting, J.Assy, and others.

The planter also features Optiflow, a relative input flow control system. Unlike a conventional sensor that only indicates whether seed is passing or not, this development allows users to visualize differences in application between dosers and outlets, providing a more precise reading of the work being carried out.

For Tanzi, these innovations respond to a changing era in agriculture. Guida noted that today's producer is increasingly prepared, informed, and attentive to technology. "Today the producers running a business are young people, they are engineers, and those who are not engineers attend every course available," he explained.

With a constant presence at major agricultural trade shows and increasingly significant technological development, Tanzi is leading the way with a new generation of planters that, beyond their size or robustness, stand out for their technology to make better decisions in the field.
