Mark van Bommel has been appointed coach of the Belgian national team. This was announced by the Belgian Football Federation, adding that the Dutchman has signed a contract until the 2028 European Championship, which will be held in the United Kingdom. The former coach of PSV Eindhoven, Wolfsburg and Antwerp succeeds Frenchman Rudi Garcia, whose contract was not renewed after the recent World Cup, where the Red Devils were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Spain, who went on to win the tournament.
