CHISINAU, October 26. /TASS/. Agreements were reached to resume Russian gas supplies to Moldova, head of the Socialist Party of Moldova Igor Dodon said.

"We have reached an agreement with Russia <…>, and now we are working to find an economic agent whom we will help complete all the necessary procedures and secure the delivery of cheaper Russian gas to the border of the Republic of Moldova," the ex-president said on his Telegram channel.

In September of this year, a 60-day state of emergency in the energy sector was introduced in Moldova due to forecasts of further gas price hikes, as well as a potential shortage in electricity and fuel supplies.

"I want to see how the authorities will reject an offer that could provide Moldova with more favorable gas supply terms," Dodon said, noting that he would come forward with specific proposals in the near future.
