BRUSSELS, September 18. /TASS/. The European Commission (EC) will disburse 3.3 bln euro to Kiev for defense procurement under the $90 bln loan, EC President Ursula von der Leyen announced.
"Today, we will disburse 3.3 billion euro to help procure drones and missiles under the Ukraine Support Loan. Europe will continue to deliver the support Ukraine needs to defend its people and its territory," von der Leyen was quoted as saying in a press release by the European Commission.
The disbursement follows the EC’s decision made on September 11 to approve 6.1 bln euro for Ukraine’s air and missiles defense and other defense needs, including PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems, according to the document.
