"Right now I'm happy where I am. I'm very pleased to be at Mercedes, also because I feel I owe them a debt for all the opportunities they have given me. For the future, I rule nothing out." Kimi Antonelli, Formula 1 world championship leader and fresh from his triumphs at Monza and Madrid, spoke in these terms in an interview with Automoto.it about his golden moment and a possible future at Ferrari.
"They were the ones who believed in me when I was just 12 years old," he stressed, speaking about the Mercedes team. "They have been with me throughout this journey of growth and I hope to achieve many successes with them in the future. Then we'll see. I rule nothing out, but today the objective is to win as much as possible with Mercedes." Antonelli also spoke about his bond with Sinner and Bezzecchi: "It's wonderful to have sporting friends who understand what it means to handle pressure, they give you extra motivation to do even better. I'm happy to see them win, and I'd like to do the same, if not better, even though doing better than Sinner is difficult."
