Italy's rugby team finds an Australia far too superior in Perth and falls 57-10 to the Wallabies. Without head coach Quesada, who was suspended, in the final leg of the Nations Championship the Azzurri suffer their third loss in three matches, following defeats against Japan and New Zealand, with the Italian side going behind from the opening minutes through tries from Canham, Wright and Paenga-Amosa and never managing to turn the tide. The tries from Lamaro and Ioane, both unconverted by Garbisi, proved to no avail.
