Piazza Affari continues the session higher, with the FTSE MIB index up 0.72% at 51,926 points. The spread between Italian BTPs and German 10-year Bunds falls to 86.9 points, with the Italian annual yield down 2.9 points to 4.39% and the German yield down 1.3 points to 3.52%. Prysmian leads the gainers (+3.4%), in line with its main European rivals, followed by Saipem (+2.95%), which secured a contract in Finland. Next come Cucinelli (+2.46%), in line with the luxury sector in Europe, Italgas (+2.3%), Inwit (+2.25%), A2A (+1.95%) and STM (+1.55%).
In negative territory, Stellantis (-2.65%), downgraded to 'hold' by analysts at Berenberg. Also lower are Fincantieri (-0.89%) and Eni (-0.76%), along with crude oil (WTI -2.55% at $103.18 per barrel). Among smaller-cap stocks, New Princes (+7.59%) posts its biggest gain in five months, while Tisg (+12.46%) surges after receiving 11 offers from investors for its rescue.
Positive performances for BPER (+0.97%), Intesa (+0.6%), UniCredit (+0.55%) and Mediobanca (+0.5%). More cautious gains for Banco BPM (+0.4%) and Monte dei Paschi (+0.15%).
