A general stability from North to South, favored by a temporary strengthening of high pressure. This is what meteorologist Federico Brescia of iLMeteo.it is forecasting starting tomorrow. While "the regions of Central and Northern Italy will enjoy a Sunday characterized by predominantly clear or slightly cloudy skies, whereas in the South there will be continued episodes of instability, particularly between Calabria and Sicily where locally intense showers and thunderstorms may occur," Brescia explains, "from Monday this unstable phase in the South will progressively ease." The restoration of greater atmospheric stability will be accompanied by a slight rise in temperatures. In the first days of the week, maximum values will return to 30-31°C in several locations in the South, and will reach similar values in cities such as Rome, above the norm for the third decade of the month. The weather outlook will begin to change again from mid-week, however. The arrival of cooler easterly currents could lead to increased variability, followed in the second part of the week by a new intensification of instability concentrated mainly over the Central and Southern regions, particularly along the Adriatic coast.

Outlook: arrival of colder easterly currents with scattered cloud cover and unstable episodes, especially from Friday onwards in Central and Southern Italy.
